At Cherry on Top it has become a mission of ours to not only work with but for local, women owned, small business. One of the ways we have taken initiative to do so is through collaboration with local vendors to sell handmade products!
At many events this year customers may have noticed a big blue jewelry box sitting outside of this camper. This bright colored box comes from Clementines Vintage, a women-owned home decor store here in Strasburg. Filling the jewelry box is 269 Designs, this women-owned business has been with us since the start and continues to supply Cherry on Top with one of a kind earrings and accessories. If you have been in the camper, you have definitely heard me talk about 269 Designs
Another women owned vendor is, LakeTees. The story of working with LakeTees is very sweet to me, the company was established by my 5th grade teacher and now she collaborates with me to custom design t-shirts and ornaments for my boutique!
Pageants are special because of of the people you meet, you never know what friendships may come out of them. This year when I competed for Miss Rockingham County Fair I had the opportunity to meet my now dear friend Mindy. Mindy is awesome, breaking through glass ceilings in a male dominated career field, she has easily become an inspiration to me. And on top of all of that, she can sew and kindly gave each contestant a scrunchi. So a couple months later I reach out asking if she could make scrunchis for Cherry on Top and she came through!
